Porsche 911 GT2 RS 2018 delivers 700 hp

Porsche made its mark at the Speed Festival at Goodwood by presenting its most powerful 911 for the streets. The Porsche 911 GT2 RS 2018 produces 700 hp and 553 pound-feet of torque through its 3.9-liter twin turbo six-cylinder in-line engine.

Thanks to the new engine, the 911 GT2 RS reaches 60 mph in 2.7 seconds, according to Porsche. On the track, its top speed is 211 mph. In comparison, the outgoing Porsche 911 GT2 RS 2011 had an estimated 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 205 mph. But the most impressive thing is that the new model boasts an advantage of 80 hp and 37 foot-pounds over its predecessor.

Based on the 911 Turbo S engine, the propeller of the new GT2 RS further increases performance with a new additional cooling system and larger turbos that allow more air to enter the combustion chambers. The six-cylinder in-line is associated with a seven-speed PDK transmission configured for the GT.

The chassis of the vehicle allows to give direction to the rear axle and has been specifically adjusted for the type of conduction that will have this model. To improve performance, the 911 GT2 RS features large air intakes, a large rear spoiler, ceramic brakes and 265/35 ZR 20 wheels in the front and 325/30 Z 21 in the rear. Reinforced carbon fiber plastics can be found in the front fenders, air intakes in behind the wheels and the rear panel and other areas. The front boot is also made of carbon firba, while the roof panel is constructed of magnesium. The Persian titanium exhaust system approximately 15 pounds less than the 911 Turbo system, one of the upgrades that helps it maintain a weight of 3,241 pounds. To save an extra £ 40, customers can choose the $ 31,000 Weissach package. For this price, you will be able to receive magnesium wheels as well as a carbon fiber roof and stabilizer bars.
