Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is eavesdropped

Rumors of the new Corvette ZR1 have been around for a long time, and it appears that will not end today. Our spy photographers caught two different prototypes that we would probably give a glimpse of the next Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.

If you believe the Corvette Z06 does not go far enough, perhaps this fascinating model catches your eye. One of the test mules has a very high rear spoiler to mount a pedestal, and our spy photographers indicated that seems to match the height of the GT3 race car. After a closer look, you will realize that this prototype has a high object packaged in bubble wrap inside the cabin. That could be the spoiler of the vehicle or panels under the most aggressive door. This model also features red brake calipers. However, images of other prototypes, you will notice that the calipers are blue, another sign pointing to this is the ZR1.

On the front, the Corvette gets new air intakes on both sides of the front fascia. Although it is too early to say something about the hood, it has been rumored to be a “LT5” twin-turbo V-8 engine that will surely intercoolers on the front. The hood also seems to be longer to improve air flow, although it is difficult to say because of the large number of camouflage.

The side of the vehicle does not seem to camouflage, but Chevy might have an ace up their sleeve, the doors are not yet completed and could point to a new design carbon fiber, which can help with weight.

Still, the biggest rumor is the mid-engine Corvette. We recently caught a prototype that could be a model said, and looked a little different. Its tailgate was not a glass cover to prevent cold air from the rear seats reaches the engine. Our spy photographers noted that in these new prototypes, which we discussed the ZR1, saw only a cover for the car.

We have heard that the Corvette central engine could come in 2019. The ZR1 might be a farewell for the C7 Corvette, but we think the model will coexist with the mid – engine Corvette. Be sure to see the full gallery.
