The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE has proven what it is made at the Nürburgring circuit. Getting a time of 7: 16.04, this is the fastest Camaro to complete the German circuit.

The ZL1 1LE will arrive this summer with a special suspension based on racing cars, an aerodynamic package that includes a carbon fiber spoiler and Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R tires. The lighter shocks and wheels, as well as a thinner rear windshield and a lightweight rear seat, have 60 lbs left compared to the traditional ZL1. A six-speed manual transmission is the only available gearbox.

To get this record, Chevrolet kept the Goodyear production tires, but adjusted the Camaro suspension for the track. Despite producing the same 650 hp as the standard ZL1, the ZL1 1LE completed the circuit 13.56 seconds faster than the ZL1 that Chevy tested last year with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The 1LE was faster than the BMW M4 GTS 2016 that ran the circuit at 7: 27.88. And it was not much slower than the Lexus LFA with the Nürburgring package, which got a time of 7: 14.64, or the Porsche 911 GT3 2018, which got a time of 7: 12.07.

In addition to annihilating the standard ZL1 at the Nürburgring, the 1LE completed the track located within the GM test field in 3 seconds less, according to Chevrolet estimates.

To receive all these power upgrades, buyers will need to purchase the Extreme Track Perfomance package, which costs $ 7,500. That makes the Camaro ZL1 1LE cost $ 69,995.
